Feds release final rules for ‘meaningful use’ of EHRs

The feds have finally published the rules providers will have to meet if they want to get incentive payments for adopting electronic health records. The new rules give more flexibility: There are 25 total objectives. The core group of 15 must be met by health care providers. Of the remaining 10, providers can choose to defer five of them until 2011-12.
